01

About this notice

This notice explains data handling for the public Momentum website at momentumtradehub.com and www.momentumtradehub.com, including its local historical scenario calculator. Momentum Trading is the trading name used for this website and the Momentum brand. In this notice, “Momentum”, “we” and “our” refer to the operator trading under that name. For privacy questions or requests, use the support page and identify your message as a privacy request.

This notice does not describe all processing by a separate broker, Telegram or another external service. Review the provider’s own notice before using those services. A separate account or paid service may require additional privacy information specific to that service.

02

Information involved

Browsing information. Delivering and securing web pages involves network and request information, which can include an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, referring page, timestamps and technical or security events. Infrastructure providers may process this information when serving the website.

Support communications. If you choose to contact Momentum through an external support channel, the message, your chosen contact details, platform identifier and any information you include may be available to the recipient and the external platform.

Trade files and scenarios. The historical calculator reads the CSV selected on your device and holds the parsed records and settings in memory in the current tab. The calculator code does not send the CSV, trade values or results to Momentum, save them in browser storage or use them to train a model. Clearing the imported history or closing the tab removes that tool’s in-memory copy; your original file remains on your device.

No website payment or account form. The current public website does not ask for a payment card, broker password or account registration through a website form. Do not include those details in a CSV or support enquiry.

03

Purposes & UK lawful bases

To the extent Momentum processes personal information for the following purposes, the relevant basis under UK data protection law is:

  • Delivering and protecting the website: legitimate interests in operating a reliable service, diagnosing faults, preventing abuse and maintaining security, balanced against visitors’ rights.
  • Responding to a general enquiry: legitimate interests in helping the person who contacted us and keeping a proportionate record of the response.
  • Requested steps towards a contract or contractual support: necessity to take steps at your request before a contract, or perform a contract, where that basis actually applies.
  • Complying with a legal requirement: a legal obligation where a specific law requires processing, retention or disclosure.
  • Optional activity requiring consent: consent obtained before that activity begins, with the ability to withdraw it. The current public website does not include a marketing signup or optional advertising tracker.

We do not treat acceptance of website terms as consent to unrelated marketing. If a new purpose is incompatible with the original purpose, we must establish an appropriate legal basis and provide the information required by law before that further processing.

04

Your trade records stay local

The calculator accepts trade IDs, opening and closing dates and net percentage returns. Use anonymous IDs. Names, account numbers, emails, addresses and broker credentials are unnecessary and should be omitted.

Local processing means the calculator does not create a centrally stored record for Momentum to recover later. If you refresh, close the tab or clear the imported history, you will need to import your original file again. A shared device, browser extension or another application on your device may have its own access; secure your device accordingly.

The calculator performs arithmetic on your inputs. It does not evaluate creditworthiness, make a lending or eligibility decision, place an order, or make an automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

05

Cookies & similar technologies

The current website application does not add analytics, advertising pixels, marketing cookies or local-storage tracking. Infrastructure may use technology necessary to route requests, maintain security or deliver the service. A browser may also cache static page assets as part of ordinary operation.

We do not use a consent banner to imply that optional tracking is running. If non-essential cookies or similar tracking are introduced, we will provide the relevant information and obtain consent where required before activating them, with a way to withdraw that choice.

Following an external link can bring you under that provider’s cookie and tracking practices. Your browser settings can control cookies, although blocking strictly necessary functionality can affect how a service works. See the ICO’s guidance on cookies for background.

06

Recipients & external services

Website delivery involves hosting and network infrastructure, including OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Providers may process request and security information needed to deliver or protect the service, in accordance with the roles and terms that apply to them.

When you open Telegram or another external service, that provider receives the information needed for your visit and any information you choose to provide there. The public website does not automatically import your broker or Telegram account into the calculator.

Information may also need to be disclosed to professional advisers, public authorities or another party when lawfully necessary for a legal obligation, a valid legal process, the protection of rights or a properly governed business transfer. Such disclosure must have a lawful basis and appropriate limits; it is not an unrestricted permission to share personal information.

The current website does not operate a sale of personal information, targeted advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising programme.

07

International processing

Hosting, networking and external communication services can involve processing in more than one country, including outside the UK or the visitor’s home jurisdiction. An external provider’s notice explains its own international operations.

Where Momentum is responsible for a restricted transfer of UK personal information, applicable transfer requirements must be met. Depending on the circumstances, those may involve an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards together with the required assessment and supplementary measures. This notice does not itself create a transfer mechanism or assert that every provider has an adequacy status.

You may use the privacy contact route to request information about a specific transfer and applicable safeguards. Do not include your full trade history in that request.

08

Retention & security

Calculator records are held only in the current tab’s memory by the tool. The website application does not retain a server copy of the imported file or result.

For any support or operational record under Momentum’s control, retention should be limited to what is necessary for its purpose. Relevant criteria include whether an enquiry is still active, the need to investigate a security incident, a specific legal record-keeping duty and an applicable claim or dispute period. Records should be deleted or anonymised when no longer necessary, subject to a justified legal hold.

Infrastructure providers apply their own relevant retention and security controls to records they handle. This notice does not promise a fixed deletion period for records outside Momentum’s control. Contact us about a specific record if you need more information.

Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are needed for the information processed. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords, authentication codes or unnecessarily sensitive information in a support message.

09

UK privacy rights

Depending on the processing and applicable exemptions, you may request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and object at any time to direct marketing. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Use the support page to make a privacy request. Describe the information and relationship concerned. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and clarify the request; do not send identity documents unless a secure, necessary verification process has been explained. Responses are subject to the deadlines and permitted exceptions in applicable law.

If your concern remains unresolved, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to use an internal complaint process before exercising a statutory right.

10

United States privacy rights

State privacy laws differ and often depend on a business’s activities, size and legal thresholds. This notice does not claim that every state law applies to Momentum. Where a law applies and grants you rights, those rights remain available.

Depending on your state and the processing, rights may include knowing or accessing personal information, correcting inaccuracies, deleting information, obtaining a portable copy and opting out of a sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling. Some laws provide rights relating to sensitive information, authorised representatives and an appeal of a denied request.

California residents should refer to the California Attorney General’s CCPA information. Where applicable, rights include the relevant opt-outs, limits on certain uses of sensitive information and protection against unlawful discrimination for exercising rights.

The current website does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is therefore no such activity in this application for an opt-out switch to disable. If that changes, the required notice, controls and recognition of legally required browser preference signals must be in place.

Submit a request, authorised-agent enquiry or an appeal through the support page. Verification should be proportionate and not require irrelevant information. Any response, denial, exemption or extension must follow the applicable law. We do not charge or penalise someone merely for exercising a protected right, except to the limited extent a law expressly permits a fee or other response.

11

Children & sensitive information

Momentum is intended for adults aged 18 or over. The public website does not invite children to register or submit personal information. If you believe a child’s information has been sent to Momentum, contact us so the issue can be assessed and the appropriate action taken.

Do not put health information, identity documents, precise location information, bank details or other unnecessary sensitive information into a trade file or general support message.

12

Changes & questions

The date at the top identifies this version. The notice should be updated when actual processing changes, with further notice or consent where required. A new policy wording alone does not authorise a new processing activity.

For questions, use the support page. For website-use conditions and calculator limitations, read the terms & conditions.

Policy enquiries.

Contact Momentum Trading with the policy section and your question. Please do not send passwords, broker credentials or payment details.
